GeorgiaCares is a private-public partnership, administered by the Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR) Division of Aging Services (DAS). GeorgiaCares is a Volunteer-based Program that provides free, unbiased and factual information and assistance to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and their caregivers about Medicare, Medicaid and related health insurance issues including Long-Term Care insurance, prescription drug assistance programs and Medicare fraud, error and abuse.
Finding your way through the maze of Medicare insurance and prescription coverage can be very confusing, but GeorgiaCares can help. GeorgiaCares is a program of the Department of Human Resources, Division of Aging Services and Area Agencies on Aging. Partners include pharmaceutical companies, local pharmacies, physicians, hospitals, state universities and other agencies.
GeorgiaCares is Georgia's State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
